By enrolling in any paid course, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. General Policy
All course purchases on Lawable Academy are considered final once access to the course material has been granted. Because our courses are digital products delivered instantly upon payment, refunds are offered only under specific conditions described in this policy.
We encourage you to review the course description, curriculum, preview materials, and instructor details carefully before enrolling.
2. Eligibility for Refunds
You may be eligible for a refund if one or more of the following conditions apply:
- The refund request is submitted within 7 (seven) days of the original purchase date.
- You have not accessed more than 20% of the course content, including video lectures, downloadable materials, or quizzes.
- You have not received a certificate of completion for the course.
- There is a verified technical issue on our platform that prevents you from accessing the course, and our support team has been unable to resolve it within a reasonable time.
- The course was charged in duplicate due to a payment gateway error.
Note: Refund requests made after 7 days from the date of purchase, or after significant course content has been consumed, will not be approved except at the sole discretion of Lawable Academy.
3. Non-Refundable Items
Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:
- Free courses, free trials, and complimentary enrolments.
- Certification examination fees once the examination has been attempted.
- Courses where the user has completed more than 20% of the content or has downloaded substantial course resources.
- Requests made after 7 days from the date of purchase.
- Dissatisfaction based on personal preference, learning pace, or reasons unrelated to the quality or delivery of the course.
- Requests arising from a failure to meet individual eligibility criteria for a course, where such criteria are clearly stated on the course page.
- Bundle or combo course purchases where one or more courses have been accessed.
- Accounts suspended or terminated due to violation of our Terms and Conditions.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Send an email to contact@lawable.in from the email address registered with your Lawable account.
- Use the subject line: "Refund Request – [Course Name]".
- Include your full name, registered email, order ID or transaction reference, course name, date of purchase, and a brief reason for the refund request.
- Attach any relevant screenshots or supporting documents where applicable.
Incomplete requests may result in delays or rejection. Our support team will review your request and respond within 3 to 5 business days.
5. Refund Processing and Timelines
If your refund is approved, it will be processed to the original mode of payment used during the transaction. The amount refunded will be the course fee paid, exclusive of any applicable payment gateway charges, bank charges, or transaction fees deducted by third parties at the time of purchase.
Refunds typically reflect in your account within 7 to 14 business days from the date of approval, depending on your bank or card issuer. Lawable Academy is not responsible for any additional delays caused by banks, card networks, or payment gateways.
Goods and Services Tax (GST)
Where GST has been collected on your purchase, the GST component will be refunded in accordance with applicable tax laws and, where required, subject to adjustments at our end with the tax authorities.
6. Cancellation of Enrolment
You may request to cancel your enrolment in a course before accessing the course content. If cancellation is requested within the 7-day refund window and the course has not been accessed, a full refund will be issued in accordance with Section 2 above.
Lawable Academy reserves the right to cancel a course or reschedule it due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, enrolled students will either be offered an equivalent course of comparable value or a full refund of the fees paid.
7. Chargebacks and Disputes
We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer. Most issues can be resolved quickly through our support team. Unauthorised chargebacks may result in suspension of your account and restriction from future purchases on the platform.
8. Changes to This Policy
Lawable Academy reserves the right to amend, modify, or update this Refund Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically to stay informed.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Refund Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
